He brought in the blues band Reno Jones, which he manages, to do a free concert for the slabbers. The slabs were once tent bases for a defunct US Army base. There is no garbage collection, and some people just let the trash pile up in their campsite, and then move to another one. Other folks actually truck their trash to the dump. In Stan's film is also footage a local folk art environment call Salvation Mountain.
