This outstanding band, fronted by the late QMS vocalist Dino Valenti's son Joli, recalls the heyday of the Psychedelic era. Joli belts out a medley of classic tunes, sounding much like his dad on the hit "Fresh Air", and the 60's anthem his father wrote "Get Together". This memorable show also includes "Pride Of Man", "Mona", "What About Me", "Who Do You Love", "Mojo", "Dino's Song", "Cobra" "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", and many more! Joining Joli is guitar wizard Peter Harris, best known for his hot leads with JGB. Peter also burned it up with The Webs and House of Bloomfield. Barry Flast is probably best known as the lead singer/keyboardist for Bob Weir's band Kingfish from 1974 to 1995, but his ties to Quicksilver run deep as well. Having spent 3 years producing sessions and demos for Dino Valenti, and performing dozens of times in concert with (QMS guitar player) John Cipollina, either with Kingfish, Zero, or The Sounds of San Francisco. He has toured extensively with Jefferson Starship and Dead Ringers, and jammed with the likes of Hot Tuna, Rick Danko, Gregg Allman, Papa John Creach, and Pam Tillis. As a songwriter his "One Night Stand" (as recorded by Janis Joplin) became an FM staple in 1981. He has worked as a session player on over 40 albums with Country Joe McDonald, Jerry Garcia, Paul Stookey, Poco, and Bob Weir. Gail Muldrow is a veteran guitar player whose roots stretch back to her recording with Sly & The Family Stone when she was 17. She has also toured and recorded with Graham Central Station, Johnny Otis, Prince, Mario Cipollina is the brother of the late Quicksilver Messenger Service guitar player John Cipollina. He is best known for his bass guitar playing as a 15+ year member of Huey Lewis & The News. Greg Anton was the co-founder, drummer, and songwriter for the band Zero, which performed over 1300 concerts and recorded eight albums in the '80s and '90s. Along with his own band Gregg's Eggs, he has been collaborating with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. Greg has composed soundtracks for plays, film and TV, published over fifty original songs, and performed on more than twenty-five albums. |
